A series of still lifes with the same vase, the same table, the same background and the same light . // Een serie stillevens met d ezelfde vaas, dezelfde tafel, dezelfde achtergrond en hetzelfde licht.
The same vase, the same table, the same background and the same light with wildflowers from specific sites near my hometown,
I normally pass by unnoticed in the rush of today’s life.
Near the ditch side, on the dike, in the floodplain, or at the field edge, through the seasons. It interests me, that a still life takes something out of its context: only by putting the wild nature in a vase, it seems to catch attention. //

waar ik aan voorbij ga in de haast van het leven van vandaag de dag.
Aan de slootkant, op de dijk, in de uiterwaarden of bij de rand van een akker, door de seizoenen heen. Het interesseert mij dat een stilleven iets uit zijn context haalt: alleen door de wilde natuur in een vaas te zetten, lijkt het de aandacht te trekken.
