In the abundance of images that come our way today, Kieke looks for images that come close, by looking at her more-than-human surroundings. She uses wonder as a tool for (re)connecting with the beauty of the everyday. Fascinated by the art of Still Lifes, she uses an old way of looking for a new way of seeing. Playing with out-of-context effect of photography, she accentuates the beauty of our surroundings that has always been there.
In her current projects, she turns her eye to the plants of the city, in search of moments when we can see the city beyond its human perspective.
